RentProof Privacy Policy

[ 01 // OVERVIEW ]

RentProof (“the Application”) is built as a local-first mobile evidence vault by Mika Pietrus (“we”, “us”, “our”), under parent studio OMYY Media. RentProof is designed to run entirely on your mobile device, protecting your privacy by keeping your rental inspections, logs, and evidence photos completely offline.

[ 02 // DATA STORAGE & LOCAL SECURITY ]

All photographs, timestamps, damage logs, rental provider references, and PDF report files generated by RentProof are saved **locally on your device's filesystem** and inside a secure local database (SQLite).

We do **not** run external database servers or clouds. Your visual evidence remains under your physical custody at all times. If you delete the Application, all locally stored evidence photos and reports will be permanently removed.

[ 03 // DEVICE PERMISSIONS USED ]

To deliver irrefutable evidence verification, the Application requires the following system permissions, which are used solely for functional capabilities:

• Camera Access: Required to capture high-definition photographs of your rental vehicle during pickup and return. These photos act as primary evidence.
• Location Services (GPS): Used to acquire exact coordinates during photo capture to embed geographical proof directly inside the evidence payload. This verifies the physical location of inspections.
• Storage & Files Access: Required to write processed condition reports to your device memory so you can export them as local PDF or ZIP files.

[ 04 // CRYPTOGRAPHIC PROCESSES ]

To ensure data integrity, every photograph and data entry is fingerprinted on-device using SHA-256 cryptographic hashing. These computations are run locally. RentProof does not transmit your images or hashes to external servers for signature validation.

[ 05 // THIRD-PARTY SERVICES ]

To prevent time-tampering, RentProof queries network NTP/NIST Atomic Time servers during inspection. This query does not transmit personal identification data. No other third-party analytical or advertising SDKs are integrated into the application.

[ 06 // CHILDREN'S PRIVACY ]

Since RentProof does not collect any data, we do not knowingly collect or store any information from individuals under the age of 13.
